National umbrella organisation for spinal cord injured
The Swiss Paraplegics Association (SPA) is the national Self-help and specialised organisation for all SCI (Spinal cord injuries) in their entirety providing support and addressing their concerns.

Our vision is an image of our inner motivation which the employees engage every day on behalf of the SPA members.
Our Corporate Values
The SPA has clearly defined and obligatory corporate values. These determine the corporate culture and define their actions and approach, together with the individual knowledge of the individual employees.

The corporate vision of the Swiss Paraplegics Association entails it's guiding and action based principles.
Our Strategy
The main strategic aims are the principles which position the SPA as an innovative and engaging organisation in the service of those with spinal cord injuries.
Our Structure
The Swiss Paraplegics Association consists of 5 business unit.
Board of Directors
Our Managing Committee takes on the strategic planning and policy. The committee consists mainly of people with SCI functioning in an honorary official capacity.
Our Management
Our leadership projects clarity and integrity toward all aspects of our purpose and goals. Whereby creating an environment of unity enabling all employees to work at their best capacity.
Our SPA Team
Approximately 65 permanent employees, experienced employees work for the SPA, among them also two apprentices (in business administration), as the education of young people is important to us. Another 170 freelancers take on tasks for the association. As well as all this, we can count on 2'000 volunteers, honorary members and 27 wheelchair clubs who conduct more than 350 events and approximately 140 block-, day- and annual courses.

The SPA sets itself for transparent and quality-conscious corporate policy.
Our History
The Swiss Paraplegics Association was founded on the 27th of April in 1980.
