Shooting - not a Disablement for the Handicapped

Shooting for the disabled was founded in Switzerland in 1976, and already two years later the archers participated in their first tournament. Since 1997 the wheelchair championship is fully integrated in the Swiss shooting association championship.

 

One possibility for shooting is at the Swiss Paraplegics Association (Wheelchair Sport Switzerland). Whether it is as team sport, or a competition, participation is possible in international tournaments from Europe to international events up to Paralympics. The following disciplines are possible: Gun 10 and 50 meters and Pistol 10, 25 and 50 meters.
