In 2009 the Swiss Paraplegic Association (SPA) founded a Life Guidance section, where the former external service is newly incorporated. Our external service advisers, SCI sufferers themselves and living in the Swiss-German, French and Italian-speaking areas, guarantee uncomplicated direct contact to members, and they get straight to the point when someone needs help. The so-called «peer counseling» is an advice technique of mutual exchanges of thought by two persons who are in similar life situations.
