Eurokey
Special room and hygiene requirements can demand special facilities and equipment such as restrooms, gates, call and lift equipment in public areas. Therefore to use these facilities a common key was developed called the eurokey. Anybody personally requesting, or through special documentation proving a disability requiring the use of these special facilities such as wheelchair users, walking disabilities, or the blind are entitled to use the eurokey. In the broader sense of supporting independence, the key should exclusively be given to the permanently disabled, but not to institutions or temporary care givers etc.
